This Latine/x Heritage Month join us at the Mound House Museum for a special bilingual kayak tour! In commemoration of Latino Conservation Week and in the spirit of “celebrando nuestra cultura afuera,” this tour is an opportunity to get outdoors and discover SWFL’s rich historical Latine/x heritage as we paddle through the beautiful waters surrounding the museum.
This unique event offers an engaging way to connect with nature and our shared history, while demonstrating how everyday citizens (even those without prior archeological training) can contribute to local archeological efforts. While the tour is free, space is limited so first come first serve. Reservations required at MoundHouse.org. We will also have free bilingual Shell Mound Tours and free museum admission on this day for all!
